ATTORNEY PROFILES
Paul W. Grauer
Mr. Grauer is the owner of PAUL W. GRAUER & ASSOCIATES. He first practiced in Chicago for a large IP litigation law firm. In 1973 he formed his own firm in Schaumburg, concentrating in personal injury and workers compensation law for the past 35 years.
He is admitted to practice law by the Illinois Supreme Court and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He is a member of the Federal Trial Bar and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. He has conducted jury trials in Illinois and Wisconsin.
Mr. Grauer has been listed in the Illinois Jury Verdict Reporter as one of the top six plaintiffs’ attorneys in Illinois for completing the highest amount of jury trials (7) in a year. He has also been involved in numerous Appellate court decisions.
He is a member of the American Bar Association, American Association for Justice, Illinois Trial Lawyers and Illinois State Bar Associations.
In 1971 Mr. Grauer received his juris doctorate from the University of Illinois Law School. He studied patent law in Washington, D.C. and was admitted to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Mr. Grauer received his Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tri-State University in Indiana in 1963 with the Tau Sigma honorary scholastic award. He has a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University. He worked as a licensed Illinois professional engineer for Caterpillar Tractor Co. before entering law school.
He was an officer of the local Lions Club for many years and, as a licensed pilot, served as legal counsel for the Northeast Pilots Association Inc. He is a frequent sponsor of the Schaumburg Athletic Association youth teams.
Mr. Grauer is married and has three sons.
Edward Adam Czapla
Edward Adam Czapla concentrates his trial practice in the areas of personal injury and workers’ compensation litigation. Over the last 19 years he has represented plaintiffs in a wide variety of cases, including construction negligence, medical malpractice, product liability, motor vehicle collisions, premises liability, legal malpractice and nursing home abuse. He has successfully tried dozens of cases to verdict in Cook, Lake and DuPage Counties. He has also represented hundreds of seriously injured workers throughout the State of Illinois and attained excellent awards and arbitration verdicts. Edward has recovered millions of dollars in settlements and awards for his clients. He has been with the law firm since 1997.
Edward graduated from the University of Illinois in 1986 with a Bachelor of Arts in economics. He attended The John Marshall Law School and received his law degree in 1989. Edward is licensed to practice throughout the State of Illinois and is a member of the Federal Trial Bar for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He has successfully litigated and appealed cases at the Illinois Appellate Court and Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association. Edward is married and has two children.
